From the threshold onwards, El Tropic's theme is apparent: dozens of plants have been laid out everywhere, matched inside with luxurious jungle-patterned wallpaper. In the back, the bright-as-gold yellow counter blends with clear wood furniture and wicker chairs. Blue and green geometrical patterns catch the eye on the tables, as you move towards the secret garden at the rear.
Under the fresco tiger's benevolent gaze, you will take a seat on one of the royal blue benches covering the stone steps, and explore the brunch's eclectic menu. There, a hrira stands alongside a Thai soup, chicken-spinach briouats, a mango lassi and eggs Benedict served with salmon. You will surely be tempted to stay in this magical place for hours, playing board games – available behind the counter – or relaxing, far from the city's frenzy.
