Suspicious emails, websites, and text messages: stay vigilant!

Beware of scams carried out through fraudulent emails, text messages (sent via WhatsApp), or websites that appear to come from Air France.

These malicious messages aim to obtain your confidential information (bank details, ID documents, etc.)

This technique is known as “phishing,” or “hameçonnage” in French.

Adopt a few simple habits to protect yourself:

  • Never share your bank details or personal information.

Pay attention to the sender of the email or text message, and do not open attachments or click on any links.

How to spot a fraudulent email or text message

Here are a few warning signs to look out for:

  • The subject line is unusually enticing or suspicious: Free Air France tickets to all destinations; Air France – your vouchers are about to expire.
  • You are asked to provide your bank details.
  • The email or text urges you to act quickly. For example, fill out a refund form or make a payment.
  • The message is poorly written or contains spelling mistakes: You forgot your Air France gift cards.
  • The sender’s email address comes from a common email provider such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail.
