How to prepare for your trip with Air France

Plan your journey by combining a flight and train to or from Brussels-Midi station via Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.

1. Book your tickets

Book your plane and train on the airfrance.com website or the Air France app. Your connection time is taken into account.

2. Check in

Check in 30 hours before departure and download your Air France boarding pass and train ticket directly fromMy Bookings, on our app, or our website. The train ticket can be collected from Air&Rail desks at the Brussels-Midi station or Paris-Charles de Gaulle TGV station.

3. Get ready for your departure

Bring your valid travel documents. Label your baggage with your contact details and check that you comply with the most restrictive baggage rule between the train and plane.

Your Air&Rail benefits

  • Our teams welcome you at the Air&Rail desk at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle TGV station (Level 2, 7 days a week from 6:15 AM to 9:30 PM) and Brussels-Midi station (Rue de France/Frankrijkstraat, Galerie Sud, 7 days a week from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM).
  • Drop off and check in your baggage at Brussels-Midi the day before departure.

You are traveling in the Business cabin with a Standard or Flex fare, or you are an Elite Plus member and above:

  • Enjoy a quiet moment in the "Eurostar Premier Lounge" before your train departs from the Brussels-Midi station.
  • When connecting at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, enjoy access to the bar area of the Sheraton Hotel located at the airport above the TGV station.

Your train to plane journey

  • Go to the Air&Rail desk at the Brussels-Midi station to collect your train ticket
  • For connections of less than 24 hours at Paris-Charles de Gaulle: You can check in your baggage in Brussels for direct delivery to your final destination, subject to available space in the TGV hold. This service is not available for flights to Tel Aviv or operated by Delta.
  • If you check in baggage, you must collect your train ticket at least 30 minutes before departure. If you are not checking in any baggage, the cut-off time is 15 minutes before departure.
  • The TGV station is located in the heart of terminal 2. Walk to terminals 2E and 2F. Terminal 2G can be reached with the free N2 shuttle bus in around 10 minutes. It is located in terminal 2F, departure level, gate 2.
  • If your flight departs from Paris-Orly, taxis and public transport are available. The transfer is at your expense. Once you have reached your flight's check-in area, drop off your baggage and head to your boarding gate.
  • On arrival, collect your baggage from the baggage carousel.

Your plane to train journey

  • Collect your baggage upon arrival of your flight.
  • If your flight arrives at Paris-Orly, you can take a taxi or public transportation to the Air&Rail desk at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle TGV station.*
  • If your flight arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, follow the signs and walk to the Air&Rail agency located on level 2 of the TGV station. Collect your train ticket. You can drop off your baggage from 1 hour to 20 minutes before the train's departure, subject to available space in the TGV's hold.

* Transfers between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports are at your expense.

Baggage left at the desk must be collected on the platform.

Transporting your baggage with Air&Rail

Your plane and train ticket may allow for a different number of baggage items. Please follow the most restrictive rule. On the train, all of your baggage remains your responsibility and must be labeled with your contact details.

Drop off your baggage the day before departure at the Brussels-Midi station

You can check in and drop off your baggage at the Air&Rail desk at the Brussels-Midi station between 8 AM and 3 PM the day before your train's departure, subject to available space in the TGV's hold. This service is available for all connections of less than 24 hours at  Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.

If you wish to check in baggage for other people traveling with you, please make sure you have their tickets, passports, and travel documents.

Do you wish to change or cancel your Air&Rail trip? Air France is your main point of contact throughout your trip.

 Before departure:

  • Tickets may be modified or refunded according to the fare conditions of your ticket.

If the trip has already started:

  • The plane ticket may be modified or refunded depending on the fare conditions of your ticket.
  • The train ticket is not changeable or refundable, even with the "Flex" fare.

No, unaccompanied minors are not allowed on the trains.

Only dogs and cats are allowed to travel under certain conditions. The rules for acceptance differ between planes and trains. We recommend applying the stricter of the two rules for the entire journey. For your trip by plane: You can transport your dog or cat, subject to approval from our customer service department. Its presence must be notified to us as soon as your ticket is booked,  no later than  48 hours before departure.
